can anyone help me why the points are not moving when i adjust the weights ....

I believe when you paint the weights, it uses the current position as 'zero' - and then future movements will warp that vertice.

Hey Erikari, i don't want to animate the points i just want to adjust the points in setup mode .... it happens sometimes randomly and sometimes it doesn't .... i think i am missing some steps in there ... i have a tingling that it happens because i have used transform constraint in one of the bone that were binded with the png ....

I'll better illustrate what I mean.

If you move a bone in

setup mode

the mesh will use that position as new starting point. Therefore it will not move while weighting it unless you manually move the bone.

On the contrary, if you don't move the bones in setup mode, but you create a new animation in

animate mode

and then move a bone and key it, when you adjust the weights in animate mode, the mesh points will move depending on the influence of the keyed bone on them, like this:

i guess you are saying that the same effect can't be achieved in setup mode ..... but i have achieved the same effect by accident in the past and would like to know if you have any knowledge on how to recreate the same thing ...
it is really handy for me to adjust the weights and see how the points are behaving ....
in the video it is in setup mode ....
