  • Any chance of spine-love being updated for 3.1?

I haven't made much use of Spine in my projects yet, but Love2D is my preferred engine and I'm a little disappointed there doesn't seem to be any interest in updating the runtime for the latest version (or finally getting the full set of Professional features working). For the most part, it doesn't seem enough has changed to majorly break the implementation, but I'm still seeing errors I wasn't before.

Yes, definitely. Lua and JavaScript don't have game toolkits that provide a simple, sane API for batch rendering triangles, which means the mesh portion of the two generic Spine runtimes has not gotten exercised. I've read Love can do the rendering needed, but we haven't gotten to implementing it yet. spine-lua is the last generic runtime to move from Spine 2.1.27 to Spine 3.1+. Once that happens, we'll look at upgrading spine-love to support mesh rendering.
