  • Creating Multiple animations

Hello guys,

I have a problem with creating animations - I need dor example 2 anims - one Idle and one loop animation. And do I need to change opacity on every slot to zero, every other slot that I don't want to show in animation ? and than, for another, and third animation, to bring back opacity on slots that I want to show ? also, how to navigate through Setup mode, when having multiple separated bones with slots, if I turn off check button next to bone, it turns off just a bone, not slots atached to that bone, so I have to get inside every bone, and every slot that has slots to turn it off. It is so complicated and there got to be simpler way ?

You can hide and show attachments by clicking the visibility dot next to the attachment. You don't need to animate their opacity or color. Only one attachment can be visible for a slot at any given time, so it is not hard to hide and show the attachments you want.
Key Frames - Spine User Guide: Attachments

The visibility dot next to bones and slots are only for hiding the bones and slots to reduce clutter in the viewport. They are not for animating. Sorry that is not super clear at first. In animations you'll hide and show only attachments. If you have hidden some bones or slots you can press ctrl+H to show them again.

What is the problem you are having with 2 animations?

Yeah, I know that when I am having two atachments in one slot. But, I want to make multiple animations, and only way that I found is to animate transparency to 0 of all slots that i dont want to be shown in one animation. Than create another animation, name it differently and again animate transparency of all the other slots that I don't want to be show in that particular animation. Or I should somehow animate attachments turning off/on instead of transparency of slots ?

Oh I get it, just keying all atachments that I want to be show in particular animation. No need for animating slots transparency.

Ah, you mean you have a frame-by-frame animations? Yes, for that you can place the attachments all in one slot and key which one is visible each frame.

No, not frame by frame, but I have different png sequences inside slots. Its regular animations with mashes and slots, but I didn't know that turning off attachment can be animated. because turning off slots in Animate mode didn't work, so I didn't even try to animate turning off attachment.
