Erika Hello! thanks for reporting the problem, unfortunately I wasn't able to reproduce it on my windows laptop, could you perhaps provide a video or gif of the problem? what Spine version are you using?
Søren Please try rolling back to Spine version 3.8.61 to see if that helps. In Spine 3.8.62 some changes were made to how the native file dialog is rendered, it's possible this is what is causing your issue. Which operation system are you using?
Nate macOS Catalina has a problem that prevents all Java-based software from opening file dialogs. Catalina is in beta and has a number of other problems. We will support it once it has stabilized.
Nate Strange, it is fine on all our Windows 10 64-bit computers. Did you try 3.8.61 as Shiu suggested? You can change the version in the settings: Settings - Spine User Guide: Version
