  • Exported PNG and JSON animation have different colour.

I exported a JSON file and a PNG from the same Spine animation file, but it turns out to be different in colour.

Did I messed up the setting or something?

That works, thanks. I can't tell what the problem is though. Is the Pixi rendering or the PNG incorrect? If it's the PNG, can you email your project so we can see what is happening? contact@esotericsoftware.com If it's Pixi, you might ask the Pixi guys.

Hi, I have sent an email to the address.

Just want to say thank you for fast reply and helping me on this problem.

Hello April!
It seems like you exported your Spine file with the Premultiply Alpha setting on. When you do this, make sure to enable Premultiply Alpha in the game engine as well. Otherwise, you can also export and uncheck the setting to have the image colors match.

Hi,

I have tried to uncheck the setting when exporting the files.
But I still find the colour is different. I think assets that have transparency faded a little when export from the "animation".

Here is a comparison exporting from "animation" and "setup" mode. The animation PNG have faded frames and fire in the background.

The Json file have the same colour with the one exported from "Setup" mode. I also tried to export it into AVI format to check the colour it turns out to be the same colour as the one exported from "animation" mode.

Is there anyway to fix this?

Hi all,

I found the problem and it is my mistakes in the setup setting.

Sorry for bothering. And thank you for all the help.

Good to hear you figured it out! What was the setting mistake? Knowing might help someone in the future. 🙂
