I'm quite a noob in using the Spine Runtimes in Unity, and I was looking for some help. I did some research on the forums, watched some videos, quickly browsed through the Sping (the program) docs.
Yet, I still haven't found a tutorial or videotutorial on how to get started with the Unity3D Spine runtimes (latest version of November) to make them work with the Corgi Engine.
I'd need some kind of bridge between the Corgi Engine, which uses Mecanim, and the Spine runtimes.
I think I should use the Spine's Animator class.
Our animator hasn't provided us any spine animated character yet, so I'm trying to use the ones shipped with the runtimes, for learning purposes only.
And it is now that I'm getting a bit lost.
I should create a player with both the Corgi and the Spine Behaviours, and I don't know what should I be adding to the Corgi Character to make it work with spine.
The developer of the Corgi Engine said he couldn't include any example about using non-baked Spine character because of your license.
I see that now the "bake" option has disappeared. Is this intentional?
So, I have a very basic Corgi character, controlled by the builtin Corgi input system, and have removed all renderers from the prefab.
I know the Corgi Engine sets some variables in an animator controller using Mecanim to play the appropriate animation.
Yet, I don't know which renderers I should be using, which classes, and the general setup I should be having.
I already asked support to the developer of the Corgi Engine, but so far hasn't provided any working example scene, not even privately for personal use.
The thing I'd like to avoid is writing my own animation wrapper to connect the Corgi Engine and its input engine with the Spine runtimes.
Could someone please shed some light on this?
Something like a step by step tutorial on how to use an animation controller using Mecanim, so that I can easily interface one asset with the other?
Even a link to an existing video would be ok. Something official-ish that I haven't been able to find.
I already know where to find the docs about the Spine-Unity runtime, I gave them a look, but couldn't find my answers.
Could someone please help me on this?
